Day 12 Nogaro to Barcelone-du-Gers 19.2kms 601m (214.2kms 4851m)
It's just a bit chilly!
Today started at 7° and finished at 8° but the rain and total lack of sun made it feel like 7° all day.
We had another 24km day ahead of us so we asked our host about taxis to a nearby village. He said the local taxi company closed its doors yesterday! He kindly offered to drive us (7kms up the road).
But we decided to press on to our lunch break in a tiny village called Lelin-Lapujolle. The pop up cafe in the local school had apparently popped out. We ate an apple and some muesli and pressed on.
During the morning Ross decided a hot coffee with Armagnac was to be the drink de Jour. Clare wanted a very British cup of tea. We reached our stop about 2.30. The village was closed except for the pub, so
Another old house for tonight.
We can smell baking and as we missed lunch 7pm dinner will be much appreciated ( hope it isn't escargot).
Goodnight
Hooray for persevering. Hope tomorrow is a brighter day all round.
